Finish Floor Level - FFL Symbol

Project description:

Project_0172 is a celebration of the universal conventions of architecture and the symbols and language we use to effectively communicate our design intent through drawing.

These vast array of beautiful symbols/conventions have no agenda, nor do they discriminate based on ones colour, ethnicity or language and yet they manage to unite all towards a common goal. We think this is actually rather profound and worth celebrating as an artifact of hope and unity.

The second in our series celebrating the universal conventions of Architectural drawing is the symbol for finish floor level (FFL). FFL refers to the uppermost surface of a floor once construction has been completed but before any finishes have been applied. The symbol for finish floor level is vital when trying to read and decipher a facade or sectional drawing.

Note: A drawing which has been well set out, more often than not, is an indication of a building which has been well designed. To SA Studio, a beautifully crafted drawing represents the sign of a thoughtful, conscientious Architect/Designer.

Material Update:

After reviewing our prototypes, we have decided to incorporate a beautiful black enamel finish for that extra bit of detail and final final touch!
